Choice Automations

Built by a practical problem-solver, not a big agency.

I'm a problem-solver with 15+ years of enterprise IT experience, now helping solopreneurs and small businesses eliminate the repetitive tasks that drain their time and energy.

Based in the Greater Seattle Area, I focus on building practical automations that work quietly in the background saving you hours every week without adding complexity to your life.

My Background

I've spent 15 years at a Fortune 500 company, working my way from AV support (setting up video conferencing for large-scale events) to IT management and, most recently, project management and data analysis.

Along the way, I learned how to:

  • Build systems that handle complexity and scale
  • Use data to drive decisions
  • Design processes that eliminate bottlenecks
  • Make technology work for people, not the other way around

Now I'm bringing that expertise to small businesses without the enterprise price tag or unnecessary complexity.

Why I Started This

Throughout my career, I kept seeing the same pattern: talented people wasting hours on tedious, repetitive tasks that could and should be automated.

So I started building automations for myself. Tools to monitor data. Scripts to eliminate manual entry. Systems that handled the busywork so I could focus on what actually mattered.

Then I became a new parent.

Suddenly, time wasn't just valuable it was everything. Every hour spent on repetitive tasks was an hour I couldn't get back. That's when I doubled down on automation, not just at work, but at home too.

I realized: if these tools save me hours every week, they could do the same for small business owners who are drowning in busywork.

That's why I started Choice Automations, to help people get their time back.

How I Work

I build systems that feel invisible until you realize how much time they save.

I'm most interested in:

  • Automations that remove repetitive decision-making – You shouldn't have to think about the same task every day
  • Systems that quietly run in the background – Set it up once, let it work forever
  • Simple interfaces backed by thoughtful logic – Easy to use, powerful under the hood

My approach:

  • No jargon. I explain things in plain English because your time is too valuable for technical BS.
  • Selective about projects. I'm not trying to take on every client I focus on building automations that deliver real ROI.
  • Results over flash. I care about what works, not what looks impressive in a sales pitch.

Whether it's monitoring data, coordinating workflows, or eliminating manual steps, I focus on building tools that save you time consistently, reliably, automatically.

Example Projects

Here are a few automations I've built to solve real problems:

πŸ” Real-Time Market Monitoring

Personal project:

While shopping for a vehicle, I built a scraper that continuously monitored new listings based on specific criteria (make, model, year, mileage, price). The system ran on a schedule and sent instant alerts via Telegram whenever a match appeared allowing me to act fast without constantly refreshing websites.

Business application:

Monitor competitor prices, track inventory changes, or get alerted when new opportunities appear in your market. No more manual checking just instant notifications when something matters.

What it involved:
  • Data scraping and filtering
  • Scheduled automation
  • Real-time messaging alerts
  • Smart filtering (only alert when criteria are met)

πŸ‘Ά Coordination & Tracking System

Personal project:

For our newborn, I built a simple web-based tool to track feedings and diaper changes. The goal was clarity and peace of mind removing the guesswork around when something was last done and enabling any caregiver to quickly see the current state.

Business application:

Track client interactions, coordinate team activities, or maintain shared visibility on recurring tasks. Whether it's project status, inventory levels, or customer touchpoints one source of truth that everyone can access.

What it focused on:
  • Fast, frictionless data entry
  • Clear state tracking at a glance
  • Mobile-friendly design
  • Solving a real coordination problem

πŸ“Š Automated Data Collection & Analysis

Personal project:

I've built internal tools to track and summarize data in real time primarily focused on automation, data ingestion, and presentation. These projects helped refine my approach to building fast, reliable systems that update automatically as new information becomes available.

Business application:

Automate report generation, aggregate data from multiple sources, or track KPIs without manual spreadsheet updates. Get the insights you need, automatically, on your schedule.

What it demonstrated:
  • Scheduled data collection
  • Real-time updates and aggregation
  • Clean, readable reporting
  • Systems that run reliably in the background

What I Work With

Tools & Technologies:
Python – For custom scripts, data processing, and complex logic
n8n – For workflow automation and integrations
Various LLMs – For intelligent data processing
APIs & Spreadsheets – Connecting your existing tools

My philosophy: Use the right tool for the job. Sometimes that's a no-code platform like n8n. Sometimes it's custom Python. I don't force a one-size-fits-all solutionβ€”I build what works best for your specific needs.

What I can help with:
  • β€’ Eliminating repetitive manual tasks
  • β€’ Connecting tools that don't talk to each other
  • β€’ Automating reports and data updates
  • β€’ Monitoring websites or data sources for changes
  • β€’ Building simple internal tools for your team
What I don't do:
  • β€’ Full software development or custom apps
  • β€’ Enterprise-scale implementations
  • β€’ Your entire job (but I can help you shave off the tedious parts)

A Bit About Me

When I'm not building automations, I'm usually:

  • β€’ Figuring out parenthood – Our newborn keeps me busy (and motivated to automate everything possible)
  • β€’ Tinkering with my homelab – I enjoy building and breaking things to learn how they work
  • β€’ Gaming – Downtime spent exploring new worlds and endless grinds

I'm naturally drawn to problems that can be solved with systems and logic. If there's a repetitive task, my brain immediately goes to "how can I automate this?"

Let's Work Together

I'm selective about the projects I take on because I want to deliver real results not just rush through to the next client.

If you're spending hours every week on repetitive tasks, we should talk.

No pressure. No jargon. Just clarity.
